Aim

To attract applicants with excellent academic background to apply to the Programme.

Eligibility

1. Both full-time and part-time students of the MSc Programme in FinTech are eligible for the admission scholarship;
2. Students from reputable universities with excellent academic results.


Scholarship Amount and Quota

The scholarship amount is HK$80,000 each, in the format of tuition waiver.  There will be a maximum of 5 scholarships to be conferred in each academic year.

Conditions for Award

1. The scholarship will be disbursed in the format of one-off tuition waiver in the second term of studies (for full-time mode) or in 2 equal installments in each term in the second year of studies (for part-time mode).   
2. The scholarship is associated with the registration of the Master of Science in Financial Technology.  The selected awardee must be an active registrant in the Programme when the scholarship is to be disbursed.  The scholarship offer will be forfeited, including but not limited to the following conditions: programme withdrawal, transfer to another programme, failure to settle tuition fee, dismissal by the University, etc.


Application Procedures

All admitted students will automatically be considered by the selection panel for the scholarship.


Selection

All applications will be collectively considered by the Graduate Panel of Financial Technology, Faculty of Engineering.
The Faculty reserves the right not to offer any scholarship if no suitable applicants could be identified.


Declaration 

1. The application information will be used for selection of admission scholarship only.
2. The Faculty of Engineering reserves the right to announce the scholarship awardees’ information, including name, study mode, year of study, academic background and photos in relevant publications and websites.
3. Willful making of false application will result in disqualification of the scholarship, and possibly disciplinary actions.
4. In case of dispute, the decision of the Graduate Panel of Financial Technology, Faculty of Engineering, is final.
