Through the CUHK-Hang Seng Bank industrial project, with guidance from Mr. William IP and Professor Ho Kyson, I worked on a technology-based solution for real banking business needs and gained first-hand exposure to banking workflows and institutional practices. My work in the industrial project was also recognized with the CUHK CEFAR Annual Award – Diamond Award.
I also enjoyed the CUHK FinTech Seminar Series, which provided valuable opportunities to learn from leading scholars and industry professionals. Looking ahead, I am preparing for further PhD study in fintech, finance, and AI."

"I am working in banking industry for over ten years. In light of rapid technological advancement and its growing impact on the banking industry, regulator announced number of initiatives to prepare Hong Kong, China to move into a new era of Smart Banking. The initiatives aim to help the banking sector to rise to a higher level and embrace the enormous opportunities brought about by the convergence of banking and technology. This master program can supplement to my existing work knowledge in banking compliance and benefit me to develop my future career in Regtech and Suptech.It was a great experience to complete the two-semesters industrial project with academic supervisor and industrial supervisor from Bank of China. "Thanks for the course, which taught me about the financial infrastructure. I am now familiar with the three main dimensions of fintech, i.e. financial services, technology, and compliance. "The curriculum of this programme is substantial and extensive. On the basis of understanding the relevant principles of finance and technology, the programme gives opportunities for students to practice in FinTech industry, so as to broaden students’ horizons. "The programme provides a great opportunity for students to practically utilize financial technology theories by either the internship course or the 2-semester industrial project. During the industrial project that I selected, I was able to participate in open banking framework as well as financial product promotion design led by RBWM department and follow standard programme development flow of the digital team in HSBC. The industrial supervisor from HSBC provided me hands-on experience and on-site guidance in West Kowloon. Not only could I access the classified internal banking documentations, but I could also be a real member in the team. The academic supervisor Professor C.K CHAN, also the programme director gave precious comments during the weekly meeting and offered assistance along the whole term and often invited experienced guest speakers from the field, thus I could constantly deepen my understanding of the industry and complement on my industrial project. This 2-semester industrial project has laid a solid foundation for my product development as well as oral presentation skills that contributes to my career."

"The one-year MSc FinTech programme not only strengthened my IT skills, but also enhanced my mathematical knowledge. One of the key highlights of this programme is the capstone project collaborating with world-renowned banks and fintech companies.
